Revenge Games

Jeremy Lin, now starting to see full minutes after struggling through the first half of the season with multiple nagging injuries, hosts the NY Knicks.  While “Linsanity” got him his big break and allowed him to turn into a long-term NBA player, there’s no secret that the locker room in NY was divided during this time.  Look for Lin to try to stick it to Melo and his former team.

Rajon Rondo, noted grumpy alien, travels to Boston to take on his former team.  Rondo’s minutes have been all over the place, but if there’s a game that he would actually give max effort, it would probably be in Boston.

giphy3

Nick Young, human meme, and the LA Lakers host the Philadelphia 76ers, who Young played the 2012-2013 season for.

Sleepy Narrative

The Heat didn’t land in Indiana until after 4am this morning according to beat writer Ira Winderman.  They play the Pacers tonight at 6pm.  NBA really sticking it to them with these back to backs, very possible the Heat are a little sluggish.

Nutkick Narrative

Tonight the Cleveland Cavaliers and LeBron James travel to Houston to take on the Rockets in a nationally televised ESPN game.  LeBron has had back to back triple doubles, and is trying to establish himself in the MVP race.  James Harden has been playing out of his mind all season, and is also right there in the MVP race.

Last year, things got a little chippy….

And after a scrum for a loose ball Harden decided to do his best Draymond Green impression.

LeBron isn’t one to forget these things, and neither is Harden.  I have a feeling both of them will try to one-up the other in tonight’s primetime tilt, one that has both MVP and Playoff Seed implications.

That does it for today!  As always, find us on twitter @NBANarratives and let us know what we missed / what you liked!
