March 11th – NBA Narratives

Happy Saturday! Fun slate in the Association tonight with Bobbleheads, OG Starting Lineups, Gasol grill sets and more.

The Dunking Deutschman is driving the bus down narrative street with the first known ever back-to-back Bobblehead narrative nights. After being honored in Big D last night, the first 5,000 fans get Dirk’s bobbling head below:

Jabari Parker won’t get the Bobblehead bump tonight in Milwaukee thanks to his ACL.

Michael-Kidd-Gilchrist absolutely gets a narrative bump as he’s honored with a Starting Lineup! The OG figurine gets a 2X on the narrative swag scale from us as we’re all kids from the 80’s.

Plus… MKG’s Starting Lineup looks to be inspired by teammate Marvin Williams’ posterizing dunk!

If that dunk doesn’t get you excited, Marc Gasol grill sets certainly should do the trick!  Yes, just as we have a first with Dirk’s back-to-back Bobbleheads narrative, we believe we are being treated to the first ever Gasol grill set narrative.

Perfect time of the year for a grill set giveaway in Tennessee, forecast calls for sleet and snow in Memphis tonight. SocrDave can attest the to the BBQ weather in the beautiful state of Tennessee this weekend.

NBA Birthdays

Happy Birthday to Anthony Davis! The narratives team went together and got Brow this cute birthday card with a puppy on it.

Malcolm Delaney and Orlando Johnson also share a birthday today.

Not as exciting as grill sets, bobbleheads and birthdays but we do have few Revenge Games to round out the narratives today:

Channing Frye – seeks revenge on his former Magic mates. To this day, it’s hard to type that name without cringing. In my entire DFS career, I’ve played in one Thunderdome after shipping a Q, it was March 6th, 2015. Built a cash-worthy lineup in a pool of sharks only to finish 16th and out of the money, barely missing a min cash of $10K.  11 sharks rostered Channing Frye that night, 11 of the 16 who placed ahead of me to be exact… he dropped 51 DK points, one of five 50-burgers in his career and only other one since 2012. #skillgame

I have since forgiven Frye, only because he now plays for the wine & gold. Have a game tonight Channing!

Kosta Koufos & Ty Lawson host their former franchise as the Nuggets visit Sacramento. Add a #playlikeitmightbemylastmonthinthenba narrative for Mr. Lawson – Sports Illustrated said yesterday that his upcoming court date could end his NBA career.

David West & David Lee – Not only seek revenge in San Antonio, they both may be featured in the offense as the Warriors and the Spurs are dressing a total of about 12 players tonight.

That’s it for NBA Narratives today! As always, find us on twitter @NBANarratives and let us know what we missed or what you liked!
