Thursday provides us just a three-game slate in the Association but one with plenty of #narrative sprinkled in so let’s dive in:
The Golden State Warriors got the injury bug on Tuesday night when Kevin Durant played just 2 minutes before Zaza Pachulia lost his balance trying to grab a rebound and fell into KD’s left knee.
The result is Durant will miss a month with an MCL sprain and bone bruise. He is expected to be able to return in time for the playoffs. That being said, I see some #rallyforKDnarrative play tonight on a TNT spotlight game for the “down and out” 50-10 Warriors who are the first team to have already clinched a playoff spot. Just a week or so on February 25th the Warriors did play without KD against the lowly Brooklyn Nets. The minutes were heavy for Steph Curry (27 points in 34 minutes), Klay Thompson (24 points in 31 minutes) and Andre Iguodala (25 minutes off the bench) but other than that is was pretty spread out. I fully expect Draymond Green, Steph, Klay and Iggy to all log heavy minutes tonight against the Chicago Bulls. Zach Lowe, senior NBA writer for ESPN (great Twitter follow @ZachLowe_NBA ) pointed out the positive correlation of the big three without KD this season:

Daily reminder Westbrook is a cyborg wearing #0 who is good at basketball
Don’t sleep on Damian Lillard tonight who has had 34 and 49 DraftKings points in two meetings this season against the Thunder. Tonight his time comes in the west coast hammer game.
And don’t forget Kemba who has serious upside against the Suns in a 219 Vegas total game that will be highly overlooked with the stars taking up the Warriors-Bulls and Thunder-Blazers games:

Domas Sabonis (Thunder) returns to his birthplace of Portland tonight. He’s pretty much an irrelevant DFS player but wanted to note it here.
That’s it — let us know what we missed @nbanarratives — Good Luck — Thank You!
