Sometimes 12 game slates are not all that they’re cracked up to be. This is not one of those times.
A brief look at the lines shows me that it is going to be a very enjoyable Wednesday in the association and what better way to start things off than taking a walk down #NarrativeStreet.
As of this writing, I haven’t seen an over under on the Celtics v Kings hammer game, but if I were to bet – it would be high. Mix in a little IT2 revenge game against the team that drafted him dead last in the 2011 NBA draft with the fact that Tom Brady told Mr. Thomas “You’re next…”, and you’ve got yourself some Narrative to work with.
Quick aside on Tom Brady… has there ever been a more undeserving Super Bowl MVP? Tweet at us if you can think of one. You probably can’t. Don’t @ me.
#AuditionNarrative in Madison Square Garden? Melo’s name has been tossed around in many trade scenerios, and while some may be trash, other may have some legs. Enter the LA Clippers. The rumor mill has been abuzz about Melo joining his roll-dog Chris Paul in LA, and tonight’s game is certain to fan that flame.
I’m old enough to remember a time when you had decide who was the better Buck to roster: Kris Middleton or Giannis Antetokounmpo. The former returns to the floor tonight against the Heat and is dirt cheap around the industry. #WelcomeBackNarrative
Everybody loves a free t-shirt, and if you live in Oakland you can get one at the Oracle while watching the Warriors! Additionally, it’s free youth jersey night in New Orleans. #FreeStuffNarrative
Let’s all wish a very Happy Birthday to 1/2 of the Splash Brothers, as Klay Thompson turns 27 today. His birthday is 2/8. 8 divided by 2 is 4. 4 Plus his age (27) is 31. 3-1. Warriors blew a 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals.
All jokes aside, Klay’s grandfather passed away a few days ago and our thoughts are with him and his family. Losing a loved one is never easy, and I would expect to see an inspired performance tonight against the Bulls.
That’s all for today – follow us on twitter @NBANarratives to let us know what we missed
