Today gives us a nine-game slate on the observance of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday which is always a showcase day for the Association. We have some very nice matchups with some motivation and holiday narrative to boot. Let’s dive in:

Atlanta @ New York

The Knicks still stink. They are also playing on a back-to-back after they got crushed by the Raptors. Tim Hardaway, Jr. revenge game as he travels back to Madison Square Garden to take on his former club.

Portland @ Washington

Ed Davis homecoming game as he was born in the District of Columbia.

Philadelphia @ Milwaukee

Ersan Illyasova and Jerryd Bayless (injured) revenge games. Milwaukee playing on a back-t0-back. Ersan has been getting major run so should be motivated to produce.

Orlando @ Denver

Evan Fournier revenge game for the Magic. Jameer Nelson revenge game for the Nuggets. First game for Denver (3 days) since they played in London. Don’t google Evan Fournier.

Charlotte @ Boston

The Zeller Bowl as Tyler and Cody square off in Boston.

Oklahoma City @ Los Angeles (Clippers)

Russell Westbrook homecoming game as he played at UCLA. Tough spot for the Thunder on a road back-to-back but it’s Russ the cyborg.

Cleveland @ Golden State

Going back to the 2016 NBA Finals, the Cavs have won four straight over the Warriors, including the last two at Oracle Arena. This is the final game between the two teams in the regular season. Last game on Christmas Day, an epic 109-108 Cavs victory, the big three, Kyrie, LeBron and Love each scored at least 20 points and have done so 11 times this season. The Cavs are 10-1 in those games.

Anderson Varejao revenge game as well. Move on.

Greivis Vasquez

As always, enjoy your holiday and let us know what we missed @nbanarratives — Thank You!
