Sunday, January 8th – NBA Narratives

Happy Sunday everyone!

One of the last “abbreviated” Sunday slates today as the NFL playoffs are now in full swing.  The slates are arranged a little strange depending on the slate you’re on (DK for example has a 4 game slate early and a 4 game slate at 8pm as their “main), and while there aren’t a lot of narratives in play today let’s take a look at a few that might help get you over the edge in your DFS contests.
Birthdays – No active birthdays in the NBA today, however happy birthday to Ohio State legend, and receding hairline champion Granville Waiters!

Revenge – Two revenge games on the slate for today.  In one, Channing Frye takes on his former squad the Phoenix Suns.  Frye has carved out a nice role as a bench scorer for Cleveland, and at his low price across the industry might be a nice punt tonight.

In the other revenge game, Jodie Meeks and the Orlando Magic travel to LA to take on his former team the Lakers.  Jodie has been getting more run lately, starting sporadically, and could also be a nice cheap play.

Homecomings – Two Cleveland Cavaliers have homecomings (sort of) tonight.  Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye (double narrative alert) both attended Arizona, and play tonight in Phoenix.

Thoughts, Channing?

As always, let us know what we missed and check us out on twitter @NBANarratives.

Good luck everyone, enjoy the games!
