Eight game slate this evening with some heavy traffic on the street gives us some great #narratives all over the slate. Let’s dive in:

A hammer game and a #bobblehead game combined into one provides us with our central theme as we pay homage to DeAndre Jordan. What’s cool is the bobblehead is of DeAndre with his gold medal from the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. This has  a Barbara Walters “20/20 game” in the making — make us proud DeAndre!

The slate is absolutely loaded with stars including LeBron, Westy, Harden, Curry, Durant, Brow and more….but James Harden dropping 103.50 DK points and 89.8 FD points on New Year’s Eve was well, pretty lit

Revenge Games

Joe Johnson (Utah) — takes on his former team, the Brooklyn Nets

Trevor Booker (Utah) — played previous two seasons with the Jazz before signing with Brooklyn this year

Trevor Ariza (Houston) — hosts his former team, the Washington Wizards

Nene (Houston) — also hosts his former team, the Washington Wizards

JaVale McGee (Golden State) — hosts his former team, the Denver Nuggets. Should be a blow out so could get some deep bench run in the second half

Andre Iguodala (Golden State) — spent one season in Denver so the revenge factor counts

Jared Dudley (Phoenix) — travels back to Los Angeles where he spent the 2013-2014 season as a Clipper and was a team favorite among players

Brandon Jennings (New York) — gets his former club, the Orlando Magic

Kyle O’Quinn (New York) — the Association’s favorite Irishman gets his former Magic team tonight. Earlier this season Kyle in just 24 minutes put up a monster line of 14 points, 16 boards and 5 blocks. DFS value anyone?

Game Scenarios

Orlando Magic are the only team playing on a back-to-back. They have the dreaded road B2B.

Of Note

Houston has a Hakeem Olajuwon patch cap giveaway. I have no idea what this is but it deserves a Hakeem gif:

As always, let us know what we missed @nbanarratives — Thank you!
