December 28 #NarrativeStreet

10 games tonight with some fun narratives to enjoy…  Let’s get it.

Boogie Cousins does not think Myers Leonard is a stopper.  In fact, he thinks it’s ridiculous.  When these two teams squared off earlier this month, Boogie “brought him back to reality” with a 55 point 13 rebound performance.  Can we expect more of the same tonight?  #RidiculousNarrative

Andre Drummond has admitted that he takes his matchups with former frontcourt mate Greg Monroe personally.  While there is no bad blood, (in fact, the two are friends – often meeting for dinner before games) earlier this season Drummond schooled his former mentor for 20 points and 23 boards in a game that ended 98-83.  With tonight’s over under below 200, you have to ask yourself if the juice is worth the squeeze in this #BigBrotherNarrative.

If Chris Paul can shake off his bum hammy, he travels back to New Orleans to face the team that he refused to sign a long term extension with.  Continuing with the 20/20 theme, Paul went for 20 points and 20 assists earlier this month when these two teams faced off.  Paul is listed as questionable and if he can’t go we will likely see a lot of Austin Rivers, who spent three seasons in New Orleans before coming to the Clippers.  #IfThenRevengeNarrative

**LOPEZ BROTHERS ALERT**  Brook travels to Chicago to face brother Robin in a #BroVBroNarrative.  http://basketball-players.pointafter.com/compare/215-484/Robin-Lopez-vs-Brook-Lopez

Brothers don’t shake hands… brothers gotta hug

The Spurs host the lowly Suns, and Spurs Coach Greg Popovich has recently challenged big man Lamarcus Aldridge to be more aggressive on the offensive end.  Aldridge is averaging close to 6 less field goal attempts per game in San Antonio than his final few seasons in Portland.  When Coach Pop tells you to shoot more, you shoot more and that was on display last game vs Chicago where Aldridge finished with a season high 20 shot attempts.  If that trend continues against the Suns, LMA could be in for a nice night.

The last time Karl Anthony Towns faced Nikola Jokic, he went for 32 and 14 in a 102-99 loss.  No real narrative here, just a pretty ridiculous stat line that I felt like sharing and wanted a reason to include this gif of KAT kissing a tiger cub.
