December 3rd #NarrativeStreet

Saturday takes us down a small winding road in the middle of the country, without any other cars on it, it’s a quite day on narrative street. Just a few guys taking a slow drive with revenge on their minds – our cover boy, DeMarre Carroll welcomes his old Hawks teammates to his new home in Toronto.  Carroll has sat out last night for rest, so he should be fresh and in line for some good run tonight against his former mates. At 4.4K on DK, you could do worse.

We have the double narrative Coach & Player revenge as Jason Kidd gets to matchup against his former squad as the Nets come to town as part of a home & home series. Two days ago, these teams met in Brooklyn and the Bucks came away with a 111-93 victory. Giannis did post a 23/8/8 line, but if we were hoping Kidd would leave starters in and run up score, that didn’t happen… no Buck played more than 29 minutes in that tilt.

In the most interesting narrative of the day, we get Rondo Revenge! Is it still a revenge narrative though if the player is afraid to play in front of the home crowd of his former team?  It’s well known that the Rondo experiment in Dallas was a failure, an experiment that both parties couldn’t end fast enough. Last year when the Kings traveled to Dallas, Rondo sat out with “back spasms”, this after a “back injury” kept Rondo out of most of the first round of the playoffs.  The Mavs actually voted to cut Rondo out of his share of the team’s playoff bonus that year. (more on that here)

“F&CK OFF” – Rondo

If you have some time to kill and want to go down a rabbit hole on the interwebs, Google Rondo vs Carlisle. Multiple screaming matches and other stories have been well documented.

If Rondo returning to Dallas wasn’t intriguing enough, Rondo is coming off a massive triple double leading the Bulls to a big win at home vs the defending champion Cavs, and Wade is getting the night off.  If this game stays close, Rondo, Butler, Mirotic & more should see an uptick in usage sans Wade.

Lastly, we also have Leandro Barbosa going back to the Oracle to face the Warriors – if you like to get crazy with 3K punts, here you go. This game should blow out (GSW -16), and Barbosa could get some extra run. In 2 meetings vs the Warriors this year, he’s averaging 15 minutes & 16 DK points.

Other Notable Narratives

Kemba is at home is a thing. He’s priced the lowest he’s been all year maybe on DK at only 7.4K and gets a nice matchup with the Wolves with a 209 total. Kemba dropped 55 DK points with 30 real points when the two teams met a couple weeks ago in Minnesota.

The Process should get the night off after another dominate performance last night.  Jah also posted a double double in that game and he his production sees an uptick when Embiid sits.
