Wednesday night means basketball night, just in time for Thanksgiving. 13 games are all that stand in our way of a day of gluttony. Make sure to avoid the TURKEYS and roster guys who will be STUFFING the stat sheet! Extra credit for cranBURYing three pointers and putting the BISCUIT in the basket!
I’ll see myself out.
Jeff Teague gets to face his old Atlanta Hawk’s team, squaring off with 22 year old Dennis Schroder who essentially (http://www.espn.com/blog/nba/post/_/id/19704/dennis-schroder-i-want-to-be-a-starting-point-guard) took his job.
A few lackluster narratives for Stan Van Gundy and Cole Aldrich facing their old teams. Yawn.
Golden State travels down Highway 1 to face the Lakers, in what may be the most interesting narrative of the night. Former Warriors assistant coach Luke Walton will likely try and show off against his former boss Steve Kerr. Earlier this month, the Lakers handed The MonStars only their second loss of the season, while Steph Curry (likely nursing a hangover from hell) went 0-10 from downtown. Look for the Warriors to exact some revenge tonight.
He’s not on the slate, but Derrick Rose is every kid you went to college with whose parents lived too far away to go home for Thanksgiving. (http://www.sportingnews.com/nba/news/derrick-rose-thanksgiving-carmelo-anthony-ny-knicks/1engt2ymj53yf1mez11ocel8pi). And I dig that about him.
No notable birthdays today in the NBA, but happy 23rd to Miley Cyrus. In case you’re looking for a reason to roster JR Smith… http://thebiglead.com/2016/03/27/miley-cyrus-to-j-r-smith-what-you-doin-after-the-game/
