November 9th – #NarrativeStreet

Location, location, location.

Wednesday night on the hardwood puts location in the spotlight, with New York City, the great state of Texas & the country of California in the spotlight.

The Knicks and Nets battle for Big Apple Supremacy while the lone star state tilt between the Spurs and Rockets should provide some firework.  What a better way to celebrate (or mourn?) last night’s election than showing some civic pride and defending your home turf!

The other team in Dallas, the Mavs travel to the newly formed country of Pacific Coast States California as Bogut and Barnes return to face the Warriors. If that wasn’t enough revenge narrative for you, the Warriors countered with Zaza’s revenge… and most notably the red hot Seth Curry takes on his older brother Steph, who’s coming off a pretty decent game himself. (Also, Seth, who went undrafted, got his first contract with the Warriors D-League team)

Revenge Games

Thad Young (Sixers @ Pacers) – drafted by Philly

Marcus Morris (Pistons @ Suns) – no love lost here

Al Farouq Aminu (Blazers @ Clippers) – drafted by Clips

Jamal Crawford (Blazers @ Clippers)

Ish Smith (Pistons @ Suns)

Zaza, Barnes, Bogut & Seth Curry (Mavs @ Warriors)

Happy Birthday to college hoops legend, and former Laker Frank Selvy, who is best known scoring 100 points in a collegiate game (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=afod_mIp9w4).

In a homecoming game of sorts, Portland guards, Damian Lillard and Allen Crabbe returns to LA where they were born and raised. Proceed with caution with Dame however, as although he’s had some monsters at the Staples Center (30/13/6 – 65 DK points vs Lakers 11/22/15), he’s also laid some duds (7 pts / 2 ast vs Portland 11/30/15 – he did take him self out of the game in second half with upset stomach).
